NEW SERIES LAUNCH

first in the short series

The mister men receive many emails from concerned citizens and colleagues about bullying, which is understandable, after all, that is what we are about. But a recent story in the NT News grabbed us all.

It would appear that ethical employees of the health department are now using whistleblower legislation to make protected disclosures in the public interest about the cover up culture inside the organisation.

What a good idea, we thought.

Clearly the HCSCC is now tainted with politicisation since confirmed woman hater Elferink secretly installed his former CLP adviser into the top seat. So much for an independent and impartial complaints and investigatory arm where genuine concerns can be aired safely.

Not now. Not with a CLP stooge in post.

Let's face it, if a clinician was concerned, they would no longer go to the HCSCC. They'd be worried that their name would be leaked back to the health department and once their concerns were covered up as they always are, the inevitable reprisal action would commence.

Elferink's cynical move on the HCSCC has been exposed for what it is. It is an attempt to control the complaints process and subtly intimidate staff from using it.

As we have said all along the culture of cover up is as cancerous as the bullying in the health department.

Fortunately, a whistleblower had the courage to take things further in the interests of public safety and the public interest. Thanks whistleblower!

And here's the story for those who missed it.

Just as a quick reminder here's an article from 2 June 15 about the secret appointment of Elferink's CLP pal to the HCSCC.

We'll be running plenty more stories on our dodgy health minister's questionable decision making ability over the coming months.

He has made clinical staff feel unsafe with his bias.

It's time to join up the dots.
